Bruno Cheyrou fears he does not have a future at Liverpool and would be interested in a move to Monaco.
The French midfielder has spent the past season on loan at Marseille but has endured a frustrating period at Stade Velodrome.
While Cheyrou does not regret joining Marseille, he concedes he would have preferred a greater involvement in the first team.
He is currently due to return to Liverpool in the summer but does not believe he has a role to play in Rafa Benitez's plans next season.
Monaco have been linked with a bid for the 27-year-old as Cheyrou looked back on a season of disappointment.
"I have serious training sessions," Cheyrou told But! "I am a professional but in my situation I could stay at home.
"Playing only a few minutes during every game is useless. I can not bring anything, even if I do my best.
"When I came to Marseille, my aim was to join a French team again. Now, after such a season, I just hope to find a club that trusts me.
"Coming to Marseille was the best choice, I don't regret anything.
"I read in the press that Monaco is attracted by me. That is nice and interesting. Playing at such a club could be a good experience.
"Last year I decided to leave Liverpool before knowing the decision about Rafa Benitez. One year later he has built his group and I don't think I am a priority."
